KATHUA, Dec 5: One person died after slipping from a bridge late last night in Ramkote area of Kathua district.
He has been identified as Tarachand, 65, S/o Sant Ram of Makhwal, Ramkote. The reports said that Tarachand who was coming towards his residence yesterday night slipped from a bridge due to darkness and received grievous injuries.
When he did not reach his house, the family members in the morning left to search him and found his dead body beneath the bridge. They informed police, who took the body to PHC Ramkote but there was no doctor available for postmortem. Then the body was taken to SDH Billawar where after conducting the post mortem it was handed over to family for last rites at 3pm.
The police has registered a case under relevant Sections of the law in this regard.
