JDA lodges complaint against illegal construction at Sidhra Golf Course

JAMMU, Dec 7: Jammu Development Authority (JDA) has lodged a complaint with Sidhra police against the illegal construction going on at Sidhra Golf Course.
According to the complaint, Tehsildar, Executive Magistrate Ist Class, JDA Zone B Jammu visisted village Sidhra (Golf Course Sidhra) and found unauthorized construction which was being carved out by the Management of the Golf Course Sidhra for some building without getting any building permission from the competent authority. It was without any proper title of land and they were verbally directed to stop the construction and produce the relevant papers.
“However, defying the instructions, the Tehsildar was today stopped at the main gate and was not allowed to enter the premises by the gate keeper Amit Kumar, son of Ram Paul of Bajalta on the instruction of Manav Gupta, Secretary Golf Course. The Tehsildar even disclosed his identity, but they did not allow and forcibly stopped the Tehsildar to enter and inspect the area of the construction”, the complaint reads.
Tehsildar reached the site of construction by taking some outer way and found that the illegal construction was going on in full swing. The aforesaid persons forcible restrained the JDA team to perform official duty, the complaint reads further.
In the complaint, the Tehsildar has requested Sidhra Police to lodge a case under Section 114, 119, 120-B, 175, 183, 186, 187, 188, 202 and Section 6 of 12 of Control of Building Act 1988 against Secretary Gold Course Sidhra and gate keeper.
