Sanatan Dharam Sabha criticizes Govt for amnesty to stone pelters

JAMMU, Dec 8: Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha Jammu has strongly criticized the Government move of according amnesty to the stone pelters and distributing them job orders but giving no relaxation to Jammu youth, who are still behind the bars for their participation in Amarnath land agitation.

“Govt must have to look into cases against the youth of Jammu, who had held peaceful protests during the Amarnath land row in 2008,” said Bodh Raj Sharma, president of Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Jammu, while addressing a press conference, here today.
He alleged that the Government was considering the cases from 2014 to 2016 only to give benefit of amnesty to the Kashmiri youth while Jammu youth involved in 2008 Amarnath land agitation are still facing charges against them.
Bodh Raj Sharma also demanded that the Government should take strict action against the goons involved in the encroachment and illegal occupation of shrine properties and land.
Demanding  minority status to the Hindu community living in the Jammu and Kashmir State, Jagdish Dogra,  chief patron Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha,  charged the PDP-BJP Government with failure to address the problem of Jammu people, who are still facing discrimination in respect of development, jobs etc.
During the press conference, it was also informed that  Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Geeta Bhawan, Jammu is going to organize a grand Sanatan Samm-elan  on 10-12-2017 at Geeta Bhawan Parade Jammu’.  In the conference,  about more than 100 representatives from 20 Sanatan Dharam Sabhas all over the State viz. Sanatan Dharam Sabha from  Kishtwar,  Doda,  Bhalesa, Thakurai (Thaathari), Bhaderwah, Ramban, Batote, Reasi, Jyotipuram, Rajouri, Poonch, Sunderbani,  Nowshera, Kathua and from Kashmir province like Anantnag, Sopore, Barmulla and Srinagar  will participate to discuss the problems being faced by the  Hindu community  in the State and future course of action to strengthen the Sanatan Dharam Sabhas all over the J&K.
Prominent citizens, noble laureates and religious figures of the State will also participate in the one- day Sammelan, wherein representatives of the Sabha will discuss the protection and promotion of Hindutva, Sanatan culture and religion among the societies,” said Bodh Raj Sharma.
