Employees of TLMD III warn agitation for release of salaries

UDHAMPUR, Dec 8: The employees of Transmission Line Maintenance Division III, have demanded immediate release of their salaries without further delay.
The employees are protesting against the with-holding of their salaries and warned agitation in case their salaries were not released immediately.
They said salaries of all employees have been stopped since October 1, this year despite the fact that they are working round the clock for restoration of 220/132 kv levels. The employees said that they have brought the matter in the notice of DC Udhampur and also pleaded before the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh who is also holding the portfolio of Power Ministry but to no avail.
The employees have again made an appeal to Deputy CM seeking his immediate intervention in the matter to settle the issue. They said 300 employees comprising of 1500 family members are facing many hardships due to with holding of salaries and this has created a frustration and chaos among the employees.
They said it is right of the employees to get salaries in time, withdrawal of GP Fund as per need and withdrawal of non refundable GP Fund for the employees attaining superannuation. In case this is not taken care of within days they will be left with no option but to resort to strike.
