UDHAMPUR, Dec 8: Udhampur Police today smashed an illegal liquor kiln, which was being run from a house at Adwar Patri, under the jurisdiction of Basantgarh Police Station,
Besides arresting the accused bootlegger, Police also seized four litters of Desi liquor and destroyed 48 litters of Lahan from the house.
Based on a specific information, a team of Police Station Basantgarh, led by Insp Nissar Ahmed under the supervision of Jagdev Singh Slathia SDPO Ramnagar, conducted a raid in the house of Dev Raj at Upper Bholata. Police team succeeded in recovery of 04 liters illicit Desi liquor and around 48 litters Lahan from his house. The recovered liquor was seized and Lahan was destroyed on the spot.
In this regard, a case FIR number 39/2017 U/S 48 (E) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Basantgarh.
