Dr Soodan to attend Nobel Prize ceremony

JAMMU, Dec 10: Son of the soil and a prominent Ophthalmologist from Jammu, Dr. Surinder Singh Soodan has been invited for Nobel Peace Prize-2017 award ceremony to be held on December 12 at Oslo, Norway.
This is for the first time that any doctor from Jammu and Kashmir has been invited to participate in this international event where people, who have worked for peace, are awarded. Dr Soodan belonged to the first batch of M.B.B.S graduating from Government Medical College, Srinagar.
He has also served as  Principal of Acharya Shri Chandra College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS), Jammu and is presently working as Advisor at the same Institute.
Dr. Soodan is currently President of Indian Doctors for Peace and Development (IDPD). He became the National President of IDPD in 2016 and has been a part of Indian delegation at various international fronts.
Dr S.S. Soodan is part of the seven-member delegation from India as President of the organization, who is representing the Indian subcontinent at this prestigious event.
