Jaitley urges voters to keep development on track

AHMEDABAD: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday exercised his franchise in Vejalpur constituency and also appealed to people to come and vote for keeping the development on track. Talking to reporters here, Mr Jaitley said, ”l appeal to the people of Gujarat to vote in large numbers. I ask them to keep the development on track.”
The BJP has fielded Kishorsinh Chauhan from this seat while Mihir Shah of the Congress is taking head on his BJP counterpart.
The constituency is having 300 polling stations. In 2012 assembly polls, the number of electors for this seat was 3,00,783.
Mr Chauhan of BJP won the seat in 2012 assembly elections with 1,13,507 votes.
This seat came into existence in 2008 after delimitation.The counting will be done on December 18. (AGENCIES)
