JAMMU, Dec 15: Parade police arrested five gamblers along with Rs 51,300 stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, on specific information from District Special Branch (DSB), a team from Police Post Parade conducted raid in a house at Mohallah Paharia and apprehended five gamblers along with Rs 51,300 stake money and playing cards.
The arrested persons have been identified as Rahul Jamwal, son of Varinder Singh of New Plot, Suresh Kumar, son of Sham Lal of Talab Tillo, Khurish Ahmed, son of Ghulam Rasool of Peer Mitha, Shashi Kumar, son of Hem Raj of Reshamgarh and Sandeep Singh, son of Shamsher Singh of Bakshi Nagar.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Parade Police Post and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Parade Police Post SI Vijay Sharma along with Incharge Chowk Chabutra Police Post SI Purab Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Varun Jandial and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
