JAMMU, Dec 15: A team of Geology and Mining Department Jammu, assisted by Police today conducted raid in Tawi area below fourth bridge and seized four tractor trolleys for violation of High Court orders.
The J&K High Court has banned extraction of minor mineral from river Tawi from Sidhra bridge up to some area below 4th Tawi bridge. On receipt of information, the G&M department team led by DMO, BR Dogra and assisted by police party from Pouni Chak conducted raid this afternoon and seized four tractor trolleys (JK02BM/5187, JK02BC/4759, JK02AU/6285 and JK14C/9759) loaded and semi-loaded with sand. These trolleys were taken to Police Station and a case was registered in this connection.
