JAMMU, Dec 15: Executive members of central body of J&K Private Schools Association along with other representatives from Reasi, Udhampur, Jammu and Akhnoor called on Veena Pandita, Chairperson JKBOSE here today to highlight their problems.
They discussed issues regarding the conduct of exams of class HSP-I(11th ), adaptation of new precedent in which private schools have been directed by JKBOSE to deposit Rs  3500/- as annual inspection fee every year starting from next year up to three years along with the full usual periodic inspection fee in the fourth year etc.
The members demanded withdrawal of order No.: F (Acad-C) Affil-insp-Fee/17 dt. 05-07-17 as such orders shall break the backbone of the private schools as most of them are low budget. More over on the one hand Government has restrained the schools to increase its fee and on the other hand it has tied up with other Government departments to fleece low budget private schools of their meager revenue to obtain NOC’s by paying hefty fee, the Association members explained and also demanded that schools should be allowed to prescribe NCERT books.
Veena Pandita gave a patient hearing and briefed the members that Education Department shall mitigate the grievances by holding a joint meeting of representatives of Private schools of three regions of J&K in the month of January2018.
The members of JKPSA,  who met with the Chairperson,  included Kamal Gupta (president), Rameshwar Mengi (vice president), Ajay Gupta (general secretary), Sanjeev Luthra, Vishwa Mohan Sharma, Ram Parkash, Chain Singh , Siddheshwar Sadotra , Ajay Singh, Jatinder Heera, Laddi Sharma, Parshotam Sharma and  Subash Chib.
