KISHTWAR, Dec 17: Terming the PDP-BJP Government policies as anti people, former MoS Home and  National Conference MLC from Kishtwar,  Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today said that the promises made by the PDP-BJP Government with the people were  left on  papers only and the people were  suffering because of unholy bonhomie between the two coalition partners.
Speaking on the occasion of joining of NC by several prominent personalities from Dachhan, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo said that the people not only in Kishtwar district, but in entire State are suffering on account of price hike, non availability of ration, drinking water, roads etc. He added that the remote areas like Dachhan, Marwah and Warwan are suffering on account of delivery system.
Terming the recent announcement of hike in ration quota under Mufti Mohammad Syed Food Entitlement Scheme as mere an eyewash, he called upon the Government to provide ration to the people at affordable price. “People living in far flung areas of Kishtwar district are poor and cannot afford to buy ration @Rs. 15/kg,” he said  and added that much hyped air service launched between Jammu-Kishtwar has been left at the disposal of influential people as middle class people cannot effort to pay Rs  4000/passenger.  He called upon the Government to fix the price of the ticket at Rs 2000/passenger.
The NC leader alleged that several welfare initiatives taken by the previous Omar Abdullah Government have been left abandon.  “Due to anti people policies, both BJP and PDP are facing rebellion within the party ranks and as a result of which many people associated with these parties are regularly stepping  a part from them and  joining National Conference in huge number,” he claimed.
Kichloo said that coalition was on sticky wicket and assured the party workers that he and other NC leaders will raise the issues of public importance in the upcoming Legislative Council session schedule to begin from January 2, 2018 at Jammu.
Among the prominent, who were present on this occasion, include Imtiyaz Ahmed Zarger, Asif Qazi, Kartar Singh, Mohammad Sharif Kelam, Gulam Ali (ex Sarpanch Teller) and others.
