Srinagar, Dec 17: Police today said it challaned ten Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA) violators in the premises of Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) at Soura.
A police spokesman said that police have launched a drive against the violators of COTPA in the premises of SKIMS Soura. “During the drive, 10 violators were found smoking cigarettes, who were challaned under Section 4 of Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act and fine of Rs 1550 was imposed and collected from the violators. Action against such violators will continue in coming days,” he said.
