Malhotra reviews working of House Committee

JAMMU, Nov 20: The Chairman Legislative Council   Amrit Malhotra today reviewed the working of various House Committees in a meeting of the panel heads.
Mr. Malhotra sought the details of the information collected by the each committee by holding deliberations with the concerned authorities with regard to the subjects under their examination.
The meeting was attended by Members of Legislative Council, Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Sheikh Ghulam Rasool, Ravinder Kumar Sharma and Syed Asgar Ali, besides Deputy Secretary, Legislative Council, Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and other senior officers of the Council Secretariat.
The Heads of the Committees briefed the Chairman about the progress and   steps   taken by them to implement the decisions taken in various meetings.
Mr. Malhotra stressed upon the Heads of the Committees to ensure   follow up of the decisions and get these implemented in letter and spirit on the ground. He also asked them to submit their reports in the next budget session to bring these in public domain.
Earlier, the Chairman highlighted the main aim and objective of convening the meeting and get feedback from the Heads of the various Committees.
Meanwhile, Mr Malhotra  also reviewed the pace of progress on the restoration of roads and lanes dug for laying sewerage lines across the city, at meeting of the concerned departments. He directed the concerned officers to speed up the restoration work to avoid prolonged inconvenience to the people.
The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control, K.K Gupta, Chief Engineer, UEED, R. C. Gupta and other concerned officers.
