JKCCTU opposes SRO 520

JAMMU, Dec 22:  State president of J&K Co-Ordination Committee of Trade Unions ( JKCCTU), Mohd Maqbool termed the SRO 520 as an  open attack on the job security of the employees and an eye wash for temporary workers like casual, contractual, seasonal etc who were waiting for regularisation of their services as permanent Govt employee with all service rights.
While addressing in an emergency meeting of JKCCTU activists and office bearers at Srinagar, he said State Govt and the Finance Minister while perusing the neo- liberal economic and anti-working class policies has used the European model of contract  jobs in a new form which is nothing accept to snatching  away the employees  right of job security. He said instead of Govt employees now these temporary workers will be called as Govt Services Assistants ( GSA)  and they will practically as contract workers with  category wise wages without any service benefits as regular employees.
The meeting while criticising the said SRO called upon all permanent and temporary  employee to launch protest actions though out the State against this anti-employees SRO 520 and demanded its revocation and a clear cut policy of regularisation like SRO 64 with all service benefits like  Govt employees.
