CRPF organizes free eye camp

JAMMU, Dec 22: Eye check-up and treatment camp has been organized  at CRPF Composite Hospital Bantalab, Jammu.
The camp which started on Thursday  will continue for the next four days. The personnel of Forces and their families can get their eyes checked up here and required treatment will also be provided to them.
While speaking at the opening of the camp,  SN Shrivastava, Special DG CRPF J&K Zone stressed on the need and importance of the health of eyes in our lives. He also emphasized upon taking care of our eyes and appealed the Force personnel and their families to optimally utilize the opportunity and get the check-up of their eyes done.
Pratima Shrivastava, Head, RCWA, J&K Zone expressed gratitude of the Force personnel for their overwhelming presence and enthusiasm during the inauguration of the camp.
During the event, experienced eye specialists Dr Ajay Kumar, Dr Shaily Kandhari, Dr Sandeep Gupta explained the audience about the general eye related problems, deficiency of Vitamin-A which leads to eye diseases, eye diseases in female and children due to malnutrition and safety of retina.
Others present during the event were Dr VK Singh IG (Medical), Vijay Kumar IG CRPF J&K Zone and  Abhay Vir Chauhan IG CRPF Jammu Sector.
