JAMMU, Dec 22: Shri Ram Sena (SRS) today sought independent probe in police-drug mafia nexus.
Addressing a press conference here today in connection with exposing of the drug racket in District Police Line (DPL), Rajiv Mahajan asked Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, and Director General of Police to take strict action against the police personnel who allegedly involved in such drug racket.
He assailed the failure of the law and order machinery in the city to curb sale of drugs and questioned the silence of police officers on police-drug mafia racket. He said that drug mafia has spread in city like mushroom and urged the district administration to take action against the drug peddlers.
Rajiv appealed the State Government to direct the police to take a strict action against drug mafia by booking the culprits under PSA and put them behind the bars for lifetime.
