JAMMU, Dec 22: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC)—Soan Kashmir Front (SKF), today expressed grave concern over the recent judgement passed by a court in a writ petition filed by the Sikh Community residing in Kashmir valley, wherein it stayed appointment of Kashmiri Pandit (KP) migrant educated youth under Prime Minister’s Employment package.
The issue came up for discussion during a meeting of JTC held here today under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, president, JTC/SKF. During the discussion, Shadi Lal Pandita said that the employment package was announced by the then Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh, for KP migrant educated youth only and the package is not for those Sikh and Hindu youth, who continue to live in their respective residential localities in Kashmir.
He said that imposing stay on employment of KP migrant youth under employment return rehabilitation package is grave injustice and the court should ensure review of its order.
