GOC Kilo Force flags in students

Srinagar, Nov 20: The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Kilo Force today flagged in two educational and motivational tours for students of Handwara under Sadhbhavana progamme from Handwara today.
The tours were organised by 21 Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters   7 Sector Rashtriya Rifles and were flagged by Major General Sharat Chand and Brigadier A Arun of 7 sect RR.
A unique youth exchange programme comprised of 10 girl students and four lady teachers from Handwara region was flagged off by Brigadier A Arun on November 3. The aim was to give an exposure and experience to the educational facilities and modern teaching methods present at GD Goenka, Dwarka school, one of the best in the country.
The students visited Ibadat-e-Shadat at Srinagar, Patnitop and Bagh-e-Bahu at Jammu before leaving for Delhi.  At Delhi students attended workshops at G D Goenka Public School, Dwarka. The girls tried their hands on skating, Madhubani painting, yoga and aerobics. The girls also presented a colourful Kashmiri cultural programme which was applauded by the gathering. The students also visited various places many historic places in Delhi that includes India gate, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Railway Museum.
The “Watan Ki Sair” for 23 students and four teachers was flagged off on November 2 by Brigadier Arun. The students visited Patnitop and various tourist places at Jammu before leaving for Nagpur City.  During their visit to Nagpur City, they witnessed the training of Jawans of Brigade of the Guards at Kamptee Cantt. These students also lived the life of Prahari for a day at Prahar Military School, Nagpur. They later visited various prestigious institutions like NDA, Khadakwasla, Army Institute of Physical Training and Army Sports Institute.
