Maths teacher of KV Gandhi Nagar conferred ‘National Incentive Award’

JAMMU, Dec 23: Sandesh Kumar Bhat, TGT (Maths) of Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, has been conferred with “National Incentive Award” in an impressive function held recently at New Delhi.
The award was presented by Rina Ray, Special Secretary, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. National Incentive Award is given to the teachers in recognition of their outstanding services in the field of education and contribution towards holistic development of pupils.
Sandesh Kumar Bhat is the only teacher from Jammu region and among two Maths teachers in the Country. He was appointed National Coordinator of ECELT in 2014 and his lessons were showcased on KVS website as Model Lessons for benefit of students.
Bhat was also awarded “National Innovation and Experimentation Award” in the year 2013 by the then HRD Minister, Dr MM Palam Raju for his innovative project “Let Us Remove Maths Phobia By   ICT Intervention”.
He was also conferred with “Regional Incentive Award” for the year 2016 in recognition of his dedicated, sincere and meritorious services towards the cause of education. He was also awarded “Certificate of Excellence” in 2015-16 for achieving ‘High Quality Performance of Students at CBSE Board Examination 2016.
