Dr Kritima gets Young Scientist Award

JAMMU, Dec 25: Dr Kritima Kapoor, daughter of Prof Vidya Sagar Verma (Retd) and Sushma Verma, who hails from Jammu, has been honoured with Young Scientist Award.
The award was conferred to her in 32nd Annual Convention and National Symposium organized by Indian Association of Veterinary Anatomists at Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology, Bhubaneshwar (Orissa) held from December 21 to 23.
The award was given to Dr Kritima Kapoor on the outstanding oral presentation of research paper based on the research pursuit of her doctoral research on buffalo entitled “Immunoexpression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF-A) in buffalo corpus luteum”.
The award carries a Gold Plated Silver Medal and a Certificate. Dr Kritima Kapoor is a Gold Medalist from SKUAST-Jammu in her BV Sc and AH degree. Furthering her studies in veterinary science, she earned Junior Research Fellowship of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi and did her Post-graduation in Veterinary Anatomy from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary University, Ludhiana (Punjab). She continued her studies and is presently wrapping up her doctoral research from the same university.
