JAMMU, Dec 25: MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and MLC Ashok Khajuria have donated Rs 10 lakh each from their respective CDF for the construction of proposed District Red Cross Bhawan at Channi Rama Jammu.
The authority letters for release of the CDF amount were handed over to the Red Cross life members, who called on them and presented the approved site plan. Both MP and the MLC also assured to donate more for construction of the Red Cross Bhawan.
The Red Cross delegation, led by Suresh Sharma, Executive Secretary, District Branch Jammu, life members Jugal Mahajan and others, informed that work on Rs 2.5 crore project for the proposed Bhawan would be started in next few days.
The members also apprised the MP and MLC about various activities and welfare measures of the Red Cross for needy and poor people in Jammu.
