JAMMU, Dec 26: The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC), Government of India has empanelled former Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, Brij Raj Sharma, an IAS officer of 1984 batch of J&K cadre, as Secretary in the Union Government.
The ACC has empanelled a total of eight IAS officers of 1984 and 1985 batches of IAS as Secretary at the Centre.
Sharma is presently posted as Additional Secretary in the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
He was Chief Secretary in Jammu and Kashmir before being replaced by BB Vyas and had later proceeded on deputation to the Centre.
