JAMMU, Dec 28: Dr Alok Mishra, Chairman, Brain Behaviour Research Foundation of India, accompanied by Subodh Kumar, Scientist- Brain Signals Computing; Dr. Arti Bakshi, HoD Deptt. of Psychology, University of Jammu; Ajay Sawhani (CA) and Lt. Col. Krishna Kapoor, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan last evening.
Dr Mishra and Subodh Kumar are in Jammu to provide training and deliver lectures at the Faculty Orientation Programme, which is part of the Interdisciplinary Three Weeks Refresher Course in Behavioural Sciences, at the Department of Psychology, University of Jammu. Both of them shared their experiences about the ongoing programme with the Governor.
Governor emphasized the high importance of Refresher Courses for capacity building and exposure to new techniques and findings in varied fields. For ensuring quality teaching, he stressed the high importance of teachers being well acquainted with the emerging trends in their subjects.
Dr Mishra, who is also Chairman of the Brain Behaviour Research Foundation of India explained to Governor about the exploratory work so far done and the very exciting results which have been achieved to brain map individuals.
