JAMMU, Jan 2: Chairperson Waqf Development Committee of Union Ministry of Minority Affairs and the State Bhartiya Janata Party vice president Dr Darakhshan Andrabi kick-started the construction work of slab-laying on the Nallah at Rajpura Mangotrian here.
Funds for the construction have been provided by BJP State president and MLA West Sat Sharma from his Constituency Development Fund. Dr Andrabi formally began the slab laying work at Lane 16-B in presence of senior BJP leader Chander Mohan Gupta and BJP leaders Ajay Sharma and Kamal Kumar Sharma.
Open Nallah was a safety and health hazard for the local population and this slab-laying work will surely provide a big relief to the local population. Dr Andrabi thanked Sat Sharma for his help from his CD fund. She then visited the whole area and talked to the people. She said that it has always been great to work for the people of the area specially on the new year occasion.
