BILLAWAR, Jan 3: The inhabitants of Ramkot and adjoining areas have demanded BSNL facilities in their area.
There is growing resentment among the villagers of panchayats Gurah Kalyal, Thanthu, Barota, Thara Kalwal, Lakhri, Sailna, Derli, Agli Dhar, Dramni, Lodera, Komla, and adjoining areas over non- availability of BSNL connections.
The residents met with Jitendra Singh, MP and Minister of State for North East region and demanded the BSNL land line tower at Gurha Kalyal and adjoining areas of Ramkot tehsil of the Kathua district. They apprised the MP that hilly and far flung areas of the tehsil are suffering due to non availability of BSNL connections in the area.
The villagers also approached concerned Sub Divisional Officer BSNL regarding the issue and insisted him to personally intervene into the matter. “Though proposal has been sanctioned but connections not provided to the residents”, they alleged.
