JAMMU, Jan 3: District Congress Committee (DCC), Jammu Urban met here today under the chairmanship of its president Anil Chopra and discussed threadbare strategy for the expected municipal elections.
While addressing the meeting, Anil Chopra urged the members to gear up for the upcoming municipal elections which may be announced shortly. The discussions were also held for better selection of the candidates.
The participants also raised relevant issues by the public like non-availability of ration in fair price shops, poor health and sanitation facilities, damaged lanes and drains, irregular supply of water and power, etc and stated that there is strong resentment among the citizens against the present Government.
Prominent among others who attended the meeting were BB Gupta, PS Chowhan, Rajinder Jamwal, Mian Nazir Ahmed, Dr Ramakant Khajuria, Madan Lal Malager and others.
