NEW DELHI, Jan 9: Amid uptick in demand in domestic spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions, cardamom prices traded marginally higher by 0.23 per cent to Rs 1,103.50 per kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in February edged Rs 2.50, or 0.23 per cent, higher to Rs 1,103.50 per kg in a business turnover of 13 lots.
Traders said fresh positions built up by participants due to pick up in demand in the physical market against restricted arrivals from growing regions attributed to the rise in prices. (PTI)
