CB produces challan against NBFC

JAMMU, Nov 23: Crime Branch has produced challan against the management of Non-Banking Finance Company under the name and style of “Swarn Bhumi Forest India Limited, Chandigarh” for duping innocent public of huge money.
The accused persons are Kuldeep Kumar Panday, son of A B Panday, Seema Panday, wife of Kuldeep Kumar Panday, Usha Kiran Chaturvedi, wife of Arun Kumar Chaturvedi, Prem Prakash Chaturvedi, son of Arun Kumar Chaturvedi, all residents of Bhogpur Pinjore Panchkulla, Haryana, Ashwani Koushak, son of Naresh Chander Koushak of HMT Colony Pinjore Panchkulla, K D Sharma, son of Jagat Ram of Madanpur Panchkulla, Jyoti Prabha, wife of A K Koushak of Pinjore, Rajiv Ranjan, son of P N Uphadhay, Parveen Sharma, son of Om Prakash Sharma and A B Panday, son of Kidar Nath Panday, all residents of Panchkulla, Haryana.
According to the Crime Branch case, on November 12, 2002 the complainant Payare Lal Pandita, son of Sham Lal Pandita of Migrant Camp Mishriwalla lodged a written complaint against management of Non Banking Finance Company alleging that he had deposited his hard earned money in lakhs with the finance company.
The company had issued him post dated cheques as maturity value but the cheques were dishonoured by the banks concerned on the dates of maturity. On receipt of this complaint, a case was registered in Crime Branch, Jammu.
From the evidence, oral as well as documentary, collected during investigation of the case, the accused persons were found to have committed the offences under Sections 420, 467, 120-B RPC and have accordingly been challaned in the court of law with the prayer for judicial determination.
