SRINAGAR, Jan 10: Police today arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 2.5 kilograms of charas from their possession in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police spokesman said that a police party today intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK03C-5525 during a routine checking at Checki-Kawoosa crossing and recovered two bags containing 2.5 kilograms of charas.
He added, the driver, Siyar Ahmad son of Abdul Razak Reshi, a resident of Wachi Shopian and his associate Javeed Ahmad Ganie son of Gul Mohammad, a resident of Malhoora Shopian were arrested. The vehicle was also seized on the spot.
