KATHUA, Jan 10: Two persons were killed and two others injured in two separate road accidents which took place on National Highway in Kathua area today.
As per police, a road accident took place this morning in which one motorcyclist and pillion rider was seriously injured when the motorcycle bearing registration No PB46M 8998 ram on divider on National Highway at Hatli Morh , Kathua.
The motorcyclist died on spot. He was identified as Showkat Ali, son of Ismile R/o Jarai .The pillion rider identified as Jatti, W/o Gammi R/o Fatehpur was injured. She is under treatment in Kathua Hospital.
In another road accident which took place late evening on National Highway at Jagatpur Morh, Lakhanpur when two motor cycles collided head on. In the accident one motorcyclist was killed and another was seriously injured. He was identified as Jamir Singh, resident of Jagatpur. The seriously injured was identified as Ravi Kumar, resident of Jagatpur shifted to GMC Jammu for better treatment. The police registered a case and started investigation into the matter.
