10 hurt in clash over land dispute

MENDHAR, Nov 23: At least ten persons including four women were injured    in a bloody group clash at Gursai in Mendhar tehsil of district Poonch today.
A police spokesman said that there was dispute on  4 kanals of land which belonged to one Khadim Hussain of Gursai. He has eight daughters  and no son. The youngest son in law,  Anawar Hussain in league with  a few others sold 4 kanals land of his father-in- law to  one Dr Ali Asgar.  Asgar  raised a structure there and  tried to capture the piece of land. The other daughters and sons- in- law raised objection and set afire illegal structure and tried to make Dr Asgar and his men run away from the site.
Both sides including one Dr Asgar and   Khadim Hussain  had clash over this land and at least ten persons were injured in this clash where both the sides freely exchanged sharp edged weapons, lathis and resorted to stoning. Later, police also reached the spot.
The injured admitted to SDH Mendhar were identified as Shabir Hussain, Ali Asgar Shah, Maqsood Hussain Shah, Raja Ali, Qarar Hussain Shah, Anwar Hussain, Majeed Fatima, Tazeen Fatima and Nazmeen Fatima and Rozy.  The police has taken cognizance but no arrest was reported in this connection.
