IGP reviews arrangements for Raising Day of Homeguards

JAMMU, Nov 23: A meeting of Civil Defence Wardens (CDWs) was held here under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police (IGP), HG/CD & SDRF, Yoginder Koul, to review arrangements of forthcoming 50th Annual Raising Day of Homeguards/ Civil Defence to be celebrated on December 6, 2012 at SDRF 2nd Battalion, Headquarters, here.
Besides, IGP, Chief Warden, Jugal Mahajan and other 32 Civil Defence Wardens of CD town, Jammu, were present in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Koul appreciated the role of Civil Defence, Jammu. He directed them to gear up the CD activities in the CD town, Jammu and organise CD plantation drive, blood donation camps, cleanliness drive and first aid camps.
The IGP also advised the Chief Warden for enrolling more CD wardens in the CD town, Jammu.
He asked all the CD wardens to work with great zeal to make the Annual Raising Day successful.
