JAMMU, Jan 13: Narwal police today arrested two persons with poppy straw.
According to a police official, during a naka checking at Narwal, a police team intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AF-6525 and recovered 5 kg of poppy straw from the vehicle.
The driver and conductor of the truck, who were identified as Ajit Singh son of Darshan Singh, resident of Trikuta Nagar Extension and Deepak Kumar son of Rajkumar, resident of Bhawani Nagar, Jammu, was arrested on the spot and the recovered poppy straw seized.
“In this connection, a case under relevant section was registered at police station Trikuta Nagar and investigations started”, the police official added.
