JAMMU, Jan 13: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today kick-started the construction of lane and drain at Mohalla Shiv Shakti, Narwal Bala in Gandhi Nagar Assembly Segment.
Ch. Vikram in his address said that it was the long pending demand of the people of the area. He said a deputation of the local residents of the area had called on him few months ago and demanded the construction of the lane and drain. “I had assured them early start of work on the said lane and drain and have fulfilled my promise”, Randhawa added.
He said that the lane and drain would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 2 lakh. He said that the locals were facing many difficulties in the absence of lane and drain in the locality as there was no proper drainage of the waste water that used to gather in the lane itself producing stink and mosquitoes. He said that the filthy water was an epidemic threat for the locals of the area. He said that Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is committed to carry forward the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s agenda ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’.
The locals present on the occasion appreciated the quick response of the MLC towards their just and genuine demand. The resident of the Mohalla Shiv Shakti assured full support to the BJP in the coming future. The prominent person present on the occasion include Tarun Sharma, Amit Sharma, Amit Gupta, Beli Ram Bhagat, Vijay Gupta, Ajay Sharma and others.
