Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, Nov 24: National Youth Corps (NYC) Association flayed the Government for not conceding their long pending demands, compelling them to adopt the path of agitation. Addressing a press conference, Asif Ali Bhat, State vice president, NYC, said that the Government is not paying any heed towards their demands, compelling them to adopt agitational path. He said 8000 NYCs are engaged with different Government Departments and have rendered 2 years service and now the Government is implementing use and throw policy, which is not bearable at all. Bhat further stated that the criminal silence of the Government on this issue will surely put the future of the 8000 NYCs in dark. He demanded regularization of their services under perfect policy, enhancement in honorarium and continuation of their service in the same departments they were serving in. Bhat said that if the Government failed to concede their demands, then the NYC volunteers will sit on hunger strike at New Delhi, till their demands were redressed. Among others present were Jagdeep Singh, Mushtaq Ahmed, Deepika Gour, Mohinder Singh, etc.
