CHANDIGARH: After strengthening its position in premium segment bikes, one of country’s leading two wheeler manufacturers Bajaj Auto Limited on Wednesday announced that it would now focus on making inroads into executive bikes segment which comprises overall nearly 52 per cent market share in the country.
Launching the two new models of Bajaj Discover motorcycle, Mr Sumeet Narang, Vice President-Marketing, said, “we have strengthened our position in entry and premium segments of motorcycles and jointly shared a top position by grabbing 31 per cent market share with Hero Motorcycles Limited out of the total market in the segments which stands at 48 per cent. We would now focus on expanding our legs in the executive segment bikes, comprising nearly 52 per cent market share, with the launch of new products.”
While talking about new bikes Discover 110 and 125, he said apart from stylish look and more comforts these come with unique LED DRL headlamps and digital speedometer which is a category first in executive segment.
The Discover 110 will be available in the market at a price of nearly Rs 50,000 (Ex-showroom) while the Discover 125 at Rs 53,299 and Rs 55,122 for drum and disc version respectively, Mr Narang informed. (AGENCIES)
