SRINAGAR, Jan 18: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) today took a serious note of the eviction notices served to the shopkeepers at the Srinagar Airport by the Airport Authority of India.
A spokesman of KCCI said that they have taken up the issue with the Minister of Civil Aviation through an express written communication and also at the same time sought intervention of the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti in the matter so that interests of the local entrepreneurs are safeguarded.
“The KCCI has made it clear that they will oppose any such move tooth & nail which is against the interest of the local entrepreneurs,” he said
Meanwhile, a delegation of the KCCI called on Minister of Tourism, Tassaduq Mufti and presented a memorandum in this regard to him. He was requested to take up the issue with the Airport Authority of India at the earliest.
