Demand raised for gandola at Baba Bhair Devsthan

JAMMU, Jan 18: Bawa Bhair Devsthan Trust today demanded to consider a gandola/rope way project from Katal-Batal to Devsthan, where lakhs of devotees pay visit to holy shrine to seek the blessing of Bawa Bhair Dev ji.
Interacting with media persons here, president of the Trust, Balwant Singh said that this project will not only provide relief to the devotees, but also boost tourism in the area and provide employment opportunities to the local youth.
He also demanded road up to the shrine, bath room complex, water facilities and motorable bridge on the River Tawi. He said in this ancient Devsthan all communities have sacred faith and they visit the shrine on various occasions throughout the year.
The Trust president also stressed upon the Government to set up a picnic cum culture spot in the vicinity and construction of all weather sheds for the devotees visiting the Devsthan.
