JAMMU, Jan 18: Sainik Colony police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ launched by SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta arrested a man and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on credible information, a team from Sainik Colony Police Post laid a naka at Chowadhi and intercepted a Swift car bearing registration number JK02BC-2941.
During checking, police recovered 7 grams of heroin from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Zeshaan Chowdhary, son of Mohammad Isaaq of Gujjar Colony.
A case under FIR Number 8/18 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Channi Himmat and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Sainik Colony Police Post SI Balram Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Channi Himmat Inspector Sajad Mir, SDPO East Arun Jamwal and Incharge SP South Viney Kumar.
