JAMMU, Nov 24: Government MAM College in collaboration with Annual Status of Educational Report (ASER) National organization, organized two days Workshop cum Training Programme.
The programme was inaugurated by Principal Dr Ramesh Chander, who while speaking highlighted the major objectives of the training programme among the NSS volunteers.
Waseem Raja, ASER Associate was the resource person along with few faculty members of the College. He enlightened the volunteers about the literacy rate at national as well as states level and indicated the observed problems, which had been reflected in the previously published reports. He taught the volunteers methodology of Data Collection which was to be used during survey.
After training the NSS volunteers were deputed in the different villages of Jammu District to conduct the educational survey for two days.
The programme was organized under the supervision of Dr M Mazammal Hussain and Dr SC Sharma, NSS Programme Officers.
