UDHAMPUR, Jan 19: Amit Sharma, Regional Director (RD) Survey and Land Records (S&LR) Udhampur/Reasi (Ex-Officio Settlement Officer), today held a comprehensive meeting on finalization of Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) for upcoming Cadastral Information System (CIS) under ongoing Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme (DILRMP) at headquarters Udhampur.
Apart from RD, S&LR, SDM Dudu, Baseer-ul-Haq, NT Roun, SK Parihar, NT Mali, Ashok Kumar, NT Jaganoo, Jugal Kishore, NT S&LR Office, Narinder Kumar, Office Patwari, Ghulam Mohd and lot of officers and officials participated.
It was decided in this meeting that a sub-committee headed by SDM Dudu shall make a thorough study into various aspects relating to finalization of SRS of CIS which shall serve as the basis of ongoing land records computerization work. Lot of minute points were taken-up and it was decided that the Committee will submit its recommendations in a week’s time before Amit Sharma RD, S&LR Udhampur/Reasi for onward submission to the authorities.
During the meeting, Amit Sharma touched few critical points related to preparation of SMS gateways using USSD Codes for simplification and usage of all common masses. Similarly, few important issues were touched to see the relevance and accuracy of this SRS for land records computerization especially relating to disputes redressal, which is a natural fall-out in such transitions to take place in bear future.
Apart from this, RD S&LR also directed that a WhatsApp Group shall also be created to conduct this exercise smoothly and constantly wherein lot of such observations shall be shared and exchanged on a regular basis amongst all officers who are members of this Sub-Committee framed for finalization of SRS.
On the sidelines of this meeting, few delegations of public also met RD, S&LR relating to land disputes and bandobast related anomalies towards which Amit Sharma gave a patient hearing and decided to take first hand review through spot visits in coming days.
