Adhoc employees to get arrears

JAMMU, Nov 24: The Finance Department today clarified procedure to be adopted by various Government Departments for payment of arrears to the employees appointed on adhoc basis on or after 1.1.2006.
“Entire amount of arrears due to adhoc employees with effect from 1.1.2006 to 30.6.2009 on account of implementation of J&K Civil Services Revised Pay Rules 2009 shall be paid in five equal annual installments at the rate of 20 per cent each commencing from the current financial year”, a Government order issued by the Director Codes, Finance Department, said.
It added: “the pay revision arrears in respect of the Government employees appointed on adhoc basis, who have expired or may expire on or after 1.1.2006 shall be paid in installments that may become due to them till their date of death and balance installments, if any, remaining thereafter, shall be paid during subsequent years”.
The Finance Department has directed the Administrative Secretaries of all Departments to settle cases of arrears of the adhoc employees accordingly.
“The provisions required for payment of the arrears for current fiscal shall be projected in the revised estimates for 2012-13”, the Government order said.
