Mahant Manjit Singh launches new IGNOU Study Centre

JAMMU, Jan 20: Mahant Manjit Singh, spiritual Sikh leader and head priest of  Dera Nangali Sahib, Poonch launched IGNOU Study Centre at Sant Mela Singh College of Education here today.
Mahant Manjit Singh, during his visit to the college launched the new Study Centre of  IGNOU in the college complex in presence of  Chairpersons -Dr Onkar Singh of MBS College, Dr Netar Singh  of Sant Rocha Singh Degree College, Prof Anmol Singh of Sant Mela Singh College of Education, Bupinder Singh ( Retd DIG Police) GHPC, Lakhvir Singh Bawa Advisor MBS College  and others. He also held meeting with them to take over all review of the functioning of these institutions.
These  educational institutions are being run under Sant Manjit Singh Trust. He advised the heads of these institutions, working under the Trust to ensure wider publicity so that the needy and drop outs can join the said courses sanctioned under the Study Centre.
This Study Centre stood sanctioned under code No. 12127 by Vice Chancellor Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. A spokesman of the Trust however, claimed that formal inauguration of the Centre will be held next month after consultation with  Regional Director of the IGNOU.
