JAMMU, Jan 22: A delegation of Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) Officers Association today called on the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here today.
The delegation, led by its President, Tassaduq Hussain Mir, raised several issues pertaining to the service including stagnation in promotions, release of grade, in time promotions etc. with the Chief Minister and sought their redressal.
The Chief Minister assured the officers’ delegation to look into and take a sympathetic view of the issues raised by them.
Chief Secretary, B. B. Vyas was also present on the occasion.
A deputation of contractors working with various departments also met the Chief Minister and brought their issues into her notice.
The deputation sought clearance of liabilities in their favour, easing out the tax return mechanism and reconciliation of works previously executed in departments like PHE, R&B etc.
The Chief Minister assured the deputation to look into their problem sympathetically. She directed the Chief Secretary to sort out the issue of clearance of liability and other issues raised by the deputation.
Minister for Education, Syed Altaf Bukhari and Chief Secretary, B. B. Vyas were present on the occasion.
