Extension lecture held

JAMMU, Jan 22: Department of Civil Engineering, Yogananda College of  Engineering and Technical (YCET) organized an extension lecture on “Emerging Trends in Civil Engineering Industry”, for the students of BE 6th Semester.
Er PK Nanda, former Executive Engineer (Hydraulic Wing), J&K State was the resource person.
Er Rajnish Magotra, HoD Civil Engineering welcomed the resource person.
During the lecture, Er Nanda suggested various aspects of civil engineering approaches followed world wide. He gave detailed presentation on irrigation works, mix design, silt factor and also moral responsibilities towards society. He said that there is great technological revolution, meeting those parameters is a daunting task. On this context, he apprised about sustainable development by adopting modern techniques and equipment, which is the need of the hour. Without having updated knowledge of specific field, it is not possible to enter into a competitive world.
Dr Arvind Dewangan, Director, Dean, Er BR Verma alongwith faculty members of the Department of Civil Engineering were present during the lecture.
In the end, the vote of thanks was given by Er Indu Lidoo, Coordinator of the Department.
