UDHAMPUR, Jan 24: Three persons including a housewife allegedly committed suicide in the various areas of the district.
As per police spokesman, a housewife identified as Neeru Devi (29), wife of Om Parkash of village Changh was found unconscious under mysterious circumstances at her in-laws house. Family member rushed the woman to the District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared her as brought died.
After completing legal formalities, the body has been handed over to family members for last rites.
Inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC has been initiated by Rehambal Police.
Meanwhile, a person identified as Pankaj Kumar (27), son of Kuldeep Kumar of village Jib consumed some poisons substance at his residence.
Finding him unconscious, family members informed the police and shifted the victim to District Hospital, where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
Rehambal police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 RPC and investigation started.
In another incident, a youth identified as Rahul (22), son of Raji of Bharat Nagar was found hanging with a tree near his house.
After conducting postmortem, the body has been handed over to family members for last rites.
In this regard, cognizance has been initiated by Police Station Udhampur.
