JAMMU, Jan 27: An absconder, who was evading his arrest since long has landed into the net of Gandhi Nagar police.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar Police Station conducted raid and arrested an absconder, who was at large since long.
The accused has been identified as Gautam, son of Satpal, a resident of Valmiki Colony, Gandhi Nagar.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 120/17 under Section 382 and 34 RPC with Police Station Gandhi Nagar. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by the Excise Judge Jammu and Electricity Judge Jammu.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Sunil Jasrotia made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas, SP South Sandeep Choudhary and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
