Religious function held to celebrate birthday of Guru Ravi Dass

JAMMU, Feb 4: Hundreds of people drawn from different areas participated in the religious function at Rajpura Mangotrian here, today which was held in connection with celebration of birth day of Sri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj.
The function was organized by Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Rajpura Mangotrian and BJP State president and MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
He, while paying his obeisance to Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj said he was a great spiritual saint of India who preached love and brotherhood and equality of human beings. The social equality was the main mantra of his teachings who said all human beings are equal before the God.
Sharma said the teachings of Guru Ravi Dass are much relevant in modern times when world is facing chaos and confusion.
Others who spoke on the occasion included general secretary, PCC Manmohan Singh, Zorawar Singh Jamwal, chairman Team Jammu and Ashok Yogi. Sangeet Mandli of Ramalu Ram and party presented Bajan Kirtan. Others present included president of the Sabha, Mangal Dass Angral and its general secretary, Romesh Chander.
