BJP exposed on FIR against Army: Manohar

Excelsior Correspondent

KATHUA, Feb 6: Former MLA Billawar  and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today said that BJP stands exposed again on the issue of registration of FIR against Army at Shopian in Kashmir.
Addressing series of public meetings in Billawar constituency, Dr Manohar said that Saffron party was a clan of pseudo-nationalism which vigorously trumpeted the jingoistic slogans for its vested political interests. He regretted  that it is utterly shocking to note the BJP leadership making the armed forces defensive and apologetic merely to remain alliance intact and keep its coalition partner in good humor. He pointed out that if there is another party Government either in State or in Centre, you will see what is the reaction of BJP and its leadership, but now they are quite comfortable and completely mum like nothing has happened there.
Dr Sharma accused that the Saffron party for being hand in glove with the PDP to demoralize the brave soldier serving the motherland. He said that brave jawans of Indian Army and other paramilitary forces had always volunteered himself to sacrifice his valuable today for our tomorrow while fighting the enemy.
He condemned that the incumbent Government had been resorting to appeasement policy towards the anti-nationals, frenzied secessionists and stone pelters which had emboldened them enough to manhandle and assault the security personnel on duty. He said that the BJP had done in past when they released Jesh-e-Mohd Azar Masood and his associates.
Dr Sharma castigated both State and Centre Governments for joining together to demoralize the Army personnel just to appease the separatists and other anti- Indian forces operating in the Valley, thus playing with the sentiments of nationalists who are unitedly standing like rock at the back of Indian Army.
People of the area apprised Dr Sharma about their sufferings and day to day problems by them due to non availability of drinking water, electricity and sugar and ration in sale depots and bad condition of roads.
