Students, scholars hold protest

JAMMU, Nov 27: The students and scholars of the University of Jammu (JU) held protest demonstration under the banner of National Secular Forum (NSF).
The protesting scholars and students led by Surjit Choudhary, State senior vice president, NSF, raised slogans against the University Authorities for not taking note of their demands and maintaining stoic silence over the entire matter.
The protestors alleged that the Jammu University is shielding tainted officers by giving them undue benefit over years and demanded fresh inquiry against all such officers to restore the credibility of the institution.
NSF has appealed Governor NN Vohra and Chief Minister to look into the matter and hold inquiry into the misuse of vehicles and funds by the university authorities.
Among others present were Ravi Choudhary, Aaksy Sharma, joint secretary, JURSEA, Shafqat Malik, senior Research Scholar, TBS, Vikram, Rahul Sharma senior Research Scholar Sanskrit, etc.
